Whenever I try to access it, (no matter what browser) I get:

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I know for a fact that my default gateway is set at 192.168.1.1 as this is the address that I've been using for the past week up until yesterday; I have also checked the ip configuration multiple times so I know that I am not "entering the wrong address".

I've tried resetting the router multiple times to no avail and there is no way that I can connect to the router via ethernet cable (I'm in a shared house and we were not provided with a cable, aswell as the router being in someones bedroom downstairs)
I've considered it may be to do with a firewall, so I temporarily disabled my AV software, but I still couldn't access it.
Then I'd read somewhere that Java would need to be updated; so I updated Java; I still couldn't access it.
I've also considered a secure connection, so tried https:// over http://; no use.

The Internet is working fine, obviously, all apart from this. It's a D-Link DSL 3680 if that's of any use to anyone.
Is it possible that I've been blocked from accessing it? I've only been using it the past few days to experiment with changing wireless channels to try and give us a slightly faster connection.

If anyone has any ideas or tips (other than what I've already tried), they'd be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you think you were blocked, I'd check with the person that would have blocked you. If you can get to the router to reset it, why can't you hook up a cable to it with a laptop and see if that works? Can others get to the page? Does the router actually work aside from this? If no-one can get to the setup page even with a network cable, the router would have to be replaced unless you can try a full factory reset not just a reboot.

"I'm in a shared house and we were not provided with a cable, aswell as the router being in someones bedroom downstairs".

You can easily get a network cable, they are about $3 online and many people have extras around the house since they are included in most router boxes. If you don't have eggs to make cookies do you just give up making cookies or do you go to the store to get eggs? I know I would, I like cookies :)
