Hello guys, yesterday I experienced a split second black screen on my computer, during which there was a distinct whining noise coming from within the tower - I suspect PSU. The whining noise lasted about 5 min before disappearing. I've had a problem with split second black screens for some time now, but this is the only time when the whining noise occured together with it. My power supply is CORSAIR CX750 - so I know it's not very good for gaming PC such as mine. The whining noise lasted around 5-10 min after the split second black screen, then disappeared and hasn't re-appeared ever since.

Specs are:

gtx970 G1 gigabyte gaming
i7-4790k
asrock Z97 anniversary
16gb DDR3 1866mhz ram

So my question is, what could this be? Is it time to change the power supply, even if it's only a month old?

Solution
I'm wondering if it could be a gpu problem rather than PSU? Even if the noise I heard was the exact same noise I heard once from a damaged/failing/dying PSU once. Would really love some advice.

Forgot to add - the pc didn't freeze or turn off or restart, the monitor simply went black for a split second, then came back on as if nothing happened - together with the whining noise that appeared. I've stress tested GPU numerous times and couldn't recreate the issue, and when this happened, i was on the desktop not doing anything in particular, not even gaming - was browsing through the net. I read that the corsair CX series are bad for high end computers - but sadly enough, I read it after I had bought it already. Do you guys think it's a PSU prob?
