hello all.
Is the Intel HD Graphics 4600 compatible with the MSI h97m-g43? I am wondering this because this website says it is not.
Just asking for some expert advice

Solution
If the CPU Socket is correct, and the Motherboard has the video outputs, it should work.
And obviously, if the Motherboard has the video outputs, it's made to work with Intergrated Graphics on the CPU.
As, in this example, I couldn't see why it shouldn't work. You'd just have to try!

And, I'd actually recommend an aftermarket GPU though. The intergrated Intel graphics aren't the best. So, give it a try. If it doesn't work, get a proper GPU. And, if it does work, get a GPU anyways - You'll only win on it ;)

Good Luck!
Axel.

The HD Graphics from Intel are integrated into some of their CPU's. If the motherboard has an output for video signal, VGA for instance, it will work. And, if it's the same chipset, then it will work.

Check if the motherboard has a video output. If it has, and the CPUs and the motherboards chipset is the same, it will work.

I'm not so sure i understand the exact issue. Do feel free to ask some more questions, though, so I can try to help you further.

Good Luck!

because the website said "The MSI H97M-G43 and the Asrock H97M Anniversary are not compatible with CPUs with integrated graphics. Dedicated graphics cards (GPUs) will be required for both boards." I am confused whether the i5 4690 integrated graphics will work on the board. The board does have VGA, DVI and HDMI as video outputs. Im not sure they have to do with compatibility however.

Thanks
