Hey guys, recently i've built a pc ( im new) and having lots of issues, mainly not being to play games like Starcraft on good settings (right now, everything is on low) even though my gpu is pretty good and random shut downs when i'm browsing the net or gaming, I know that my mobo is not recommended for my cpu, but i've bought an after-market cooler and my temp is pretty normal, cpu idles at 11 celcius. I've read a lot of negative things about my psu, do you guys think that it is the cause of my problems and is causing a bottleneck? or is it the mobo itself?

MoBo: MSI 970A-G43
CPU : AMD FX 8350
Cooler : Corsair H100i
Processor: AMD FX 8350
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270x
PSU: CM Extreme 2 725w
8 gigs of RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

Solution
I can only speculate, but it sounds like the PSU may be the problem if you're getting random shutdowns. Having said that, I seem to recall having this problem a while back and it was actually my motherboard BIOS corrupting. It's probably worth flashing the latest BIOS to your motherboard to see if this will fix the problem.

If not, check all the connections when your PC is turned off and remove your GPU for a few hours to see if this fixes it. It's hard to tell without more information but follow these steps and you should get somewhere.

Hope this helps :D
