I am having problems with windows boot time with crucial SSD MX100 256GB, The SSD is normal, the benchmarks results are on par with the tech sites, the problems is at least to days ago the windows boot is very slow reaching nearly 2 minutes, i tried everything, disable programs via services.msc and msconfig, cleaning the registry and other methods but the problem persist.

I tried a system restoration to day 07/09/2015 and the ssd was back to normal so its obvious that was something installed after that day that caused the problem. I have a suspicious that was a security update from windows update that is causing this problem.

Any help is welcome.

Turn off Windows automatic updates - - I never bother with them, they cause too much trouble. I haven't allowed automatic updates on any of my Windows systems for over 12 years and I've never had reason to regret it.

With a reliable antivirus & a strong, comprehensive firewall (both kept up-to-date of course) you'll be fine.

I only use Windows Update on Microsoft's website if there's something specific that I need. Then I download & install it manually at a time that's convenient to me. I never did like the idea of Microsoft pushing updates down my line, especially when my bandwidth is relatively low (I live in a remote village where getting fiber broadband is as likely as me getting a knighthood from HRH!)

I don't think this is due to windows updates, never had such problem and I always install the latest updates.
1) But quite possible windows installed the "Malacious software removal tool" . Check services and disable it.
2) You can also disable few other services like windows pre-fetch etc which are not required with SSD. Samsung magician software automatically does that. Else google; one of the article here: https://www.maketecheasier.com/12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7/
Dont follow everything, take a call as per your usage.
3) Also check drive for errors

Are you using an Nvidia graphics card? Judging by the date of your post, your issue seems to have started around the same time some Nvidia users (like myself) have noticed their SSDs slowing down. My boot ups were hitting nearly 2mins, around 1:40 to be exact. If you're using an Nvidia graphics card with the Nvidia Geforce Experience software installed, you can follow these instructions in the URL: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/857772/geforce-experience/latest-geforce-experience-slow-windows-startup-bug-fix-/ it reduced my startup by 30-40secs.

Just in case the URL doesn't work, quoted instructions:
Click start
In search bar type services
Look for service named nvidia stream service
Right properties
Change startup from automatic to automatic (delayed start)
