Hello everyone,
As the title says, i m getting crashes on games like ark survival evolved, arma 3, rome 2, ryse son of rome etc.
It started 1 week ago, first time on arma 3, I just opened the "supports" showcases and after like 10 mins of game the screen froze and the graphics card driver reseted, and after that i got an error from arma, something with D3D error, second time it said it s OUT OF MEMORY.
I tried everything, reinstalled drivers, rolled back, fresh windows install, also i m not overclocking.
I m desperate i can only play old games (i can t play them good too because some of them don t support win 7) and i also play DOTA 2, wich is running good maxed out 1080p, but i can t run arma 3 everything on lowest without a crash after 5-10 min.
Please help me i m going mad with this!
PC specs :
amd fx 6350
gtx 560 ti 448 cores gainward edition
8 gb ram
win 7 x64
sorry for my english

Ok, run occt. http://www.ocbase.com/

It'll tell me if your psu isn't drawing out enough power that said maybe the gpu you have is over heating. Is their enough space.

Try running hwmonitor

Tell me the temps when you're running games.

Hello, i m running the windows on SSD 120 gb only so it has a lot of free space, i keep the games on another 2 tb sata 3 hdd
Also it s not overheating, I m using expertool to manage the fan power and AIsuite for the cpu, in dota i get around 50 celsius degrees and on more intense games wich i could play before like gta 5 or arma were max 70 celsius degrees
The psu is not generic and it has 650 W power, so it can t be it. It is also bronze certified.

Right regarding the power supply, some psu's are brozne rated and have 600+ power but they have bad capacitors specifically corsair has had some in the past i forgot the exact brand name? Have you stress tested any of your components. Whats the ambient temp in your house right now? Generally speaking you would want to get a baseline of what the temp around you is. Then try and guesstimate normal paramaters of heat around that.

That said 70 degrees celcius is within the cpu's heat range. Are you running a stock air cooler you got with the chip? Even though 70 celcius is within the range. It still feels a bit high i'd recommend swapping out the stock cooler with a hyper evo their about 20-30 bucks but well worth the money spent. You should see a drop in at least 10-20 Celsius easy.

Oh sorry i didn't pick that up before. You're trying to run arma 3 with a gpu with about 1.2 gigs of vram. Thats the problem. D3D not enough memory you probably cranked up the settings and then the game crashed i'm assuming. But it should run with a 560 ti i mean it's in the recomended that said it is a very vram intensive application.

Do you experience problems on any other games?

Have you tried running those stress tests occt. Hw monitor for temps?

The cpu has a liquid cooling fan and it doesn t go more than 50 degrees (my bad i didn t said), the gpu worked fine even on 78 degrees, wich was the max temp on ryse son of rome
I didn t tried the stress test yet, can you tell me how should i configure it? I also mentioned above the games wich i tried, except arma they give no crash, just freeze and wait for driver reset.
At arma i didn t do anything to the settings i just installed and played, worked fine for 30 hours of play, then the crashes begun.
My psu has a lot of good reviews and i see none who say it s not providing enough.

Some games are just optimized vary vary vary poorly. It could be a memory leak with the game itself. I've been seeing a lot of posts around about people with 560 ti's getting issues with arma 3 even though thats the recommended.

Last time i had a memory leak issue with a game it was far cry 4 on my old 7950. But this seems like a completely different issue.

Are you drivers up to date? Maybe thats it?

It has to be something software side then.

The games can t have problems, i tried like 10 games and all of them crashed. Tried also get some older drivers to see if it s from nvidia but still not working, always freezing sometimes even in loading screen.

No i doubt you will but i think you might need to re download the drivers specific to that gpu. I advice deleting them and doing a fresh install. If you already own a 970 that is still i think a 390 is the better value overall.

No i don t own it yet i m gonna upgrade it after 1 1/2 months when i will get enough money.
I also noticed that i can play any directx 9 games (tried rust experimental also on dx9) without any crash or freeze.

I don t know why it should have issues on the box it says a lot of things like "feel the difference with the new supported directx 11"
And i cant t understand why it worked fine before and now it just said "NO I DON T WANT ANYMORE"

A number of things, how long have you had the gpu? Could be a few faulty transistors. Could be a new update with arma 3 that just kills performance for the card. Could be something entirely different bad drivers something messing up software wise. I can't give an accurate, what is wrong without physically being their myself. Even then i don't know if i'd be able to find the exact problem.
