Best material to protect PC from dust

I've been looking online at dust filters for my PC and there nice and all, however, they seem pretty expensive. 7-12 dollars for one filter and I need about three to protect my PC from dust and other floating debris. Whats a good material to protect my computer from dust and other debris, won't restrict air flow and won't hurt my wallet. Any suggestions and helpful information would be great.

The filter material used on my case by the manufacturer is a fine mesh screen. Similar to window screen except much smaller holes. There will always be a tradeoff between good dust filtering and airflow. The better it traps dust the more it will restrict airflow (even when clean).

You could try something like this, just try to make sure you adhere it to a panel that's removable or a removable frame for regular cleaning. Otherwise you'd have to peel it off and likely have to replace with another piece which isn't very cost effective.

These seem to get pretty good reviews.

Solution
What case are you using?

To keep free of dust, you want your cooling to be "positive pressure"
That means using the intake fans, (usually in front) to be the only air intake source.
If that intake is filtered, your parts will stay clean.

The thing to be careful with is to not have any significant fan activity in the rear or top.
Too much will draw in unfiltered air from other openings, and not necessarily fan openings either.

I can imagine some "ghetto" approaches, but really want to know the case and fan layout we are dealing with.
Also, filters will necessarily reduce the air intake capability and your cooling if that is an issue.
What parts do you need to cool?

I'm using the Rosewill LINE-M case, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147166. I plain on using the side and front panels for blocking the dust.
