I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my desktop for gaming/streaming.. I built this well over 6 years ago but hated (unwilling to get used to) playing with keyboard and mouse and its been sat here doing nothing until now so its out of date to todays standards..
My specs are:
AMD Phenom II x4 965 803MHz CPU
4Gb RAM
64 Bit OS
ASRock MoBo (unsure to which model)
NVIDIA GTS 250
I'm looking to play H1Z1 but at the start of a battle royale the sound is glitching out for a good 10 seconds before it catches up, then everything is good until I see someone and go to kill them.. I just freeze (kind of like being lag switched) then when the game starts moving again I am laying on the floor dead.
I don't have the cash to blow on a complete new system so my question is can I add two 8Gb sticks of RAM to this set up and see ANY improvements in my problems, and then upgrade my Graphics card then CPU and MoBo at a later date? Will I be better off upgrading something else first or.. ? And any recommendations in the upgrades to buy are welcome.
