my internet seems to glitch off when i am playing a game on my pc or my x-box 1 and when i am streaming something. I have tried turning off my firewall and resetting my router. I have called my ISP and they say they don't see any disconnects. my x-box is wired into the router and my pc is wireless.

Solution

Call your ISP and tell them you know your premise equipment is dropping packets. Tell them your router is still reachable but it temporarily unable to reach out to the internet. This proves it's their equipment.
If they tell you that they are not seeing the problem, make them stay on the line while you recreate the issue. Be polite but just keep testing with them until they give in and send someone out to check out your premise equipment's signal and possibly replace it.

Figure out what your router's ip is. (it will be your pc's default gateway.) On your pc, open a cmd prompt and type: ping "router's ip" -t
Open a second cmd prompt and type: ping 8.8.8.8 -t
It will begin pinging your router indefinitely. Now do what you normally would to see the connection drop.
See which of those drops out. If both, it's your router. If just the 8.8.8.8 it's your internet connection.
