Hi,
I have recently updated my motherboard's BIOS (even though the newest available update is two years old-I hadn't updated it in a while!) and just instinctively downloaded and installed the latest one. On closer inspection however, the latest one (from here) specifically says it is recommended only for 22nm Ivy Bridge CPU. I currently have an i7-2600k (32nm Sandy Bridge). I haven't run into any problems yet but I only updated it a short time ago and haven't tried doing anything particularly out of the ordinary since then. Do I need to roll back to a previous BIOS version? If so, is it enough to just install the earlier version (am I right in saying it would need to be version 4.3?), especially noting that in the latest update it specifically says "* MSI recommend you to update BIOS with ME8 only if you are using IvyBridge 22nm CPU.
* There is no way to reflash back to ME7 if you already updated to ME8.".
Thanks,
Will
