I have one GTX 980 and a 1080p monitor and I was thinking about adding another 980 and getting either a 1440p monitor or 4k monitor. I'm just worried that with some games the 4GB of VRAM wouldn't be enough especially for certain games. Would I be okay playing games at 1440p with 4GB of VRAM? I was thinking about getting a 1440p G-sync monitor.

For now, it is enough. I would not think too much about it.

At 4k it is a hit or miss with many games. some run great, some are not. G-Sync is a good idea if you plan to go that route, but as a 4k user, the jump to 4k is just so drastic that I would not consider a 1440p monitor.

Thanks sizzling and redgarl. I haven't actually seen games at a 4k resolution before only 1080p and 1440p so it's difficult to know if 4k is worth it. However, I have heard a lot of great things about 4k and how much of a difference it makes in gaming. I will more than likely purchase a G-sync 4k monitor then. I have a little saving up to do in order to buy another 980, slightly larger power supply, and a 4k monitor but I know the money will be well spent :)
