Asus GTX 780 for $200 worth it?

Hey, I'm seriously considering this is it worth $200 usd (250 cad)? I'm upgrading from a 750ti I'm going to buy a new psu to run it aswell

If it was new, yes. Used, no. Probably not, depending on how many hours it has on it. If it's been gamed hard for the last three years, it may be near end of life. Most GPU manufacturers indicate a 3-5 year lifespan for cards that see frequent use so there's no telling if a used card will last another day or year. Unless you can get some form of enforceable warranty, or buy it from somebody you trust and would invite to your mothers house for dinner, I'd avoid used gaming cards.

I would say that 200 is a pretty good price for a 780. Sure it's not the newest tech, but it is still better than anything you can get new for 200 dollars.

Darkbreeze does bring up a good point though, no telling how much life you will get out of a used card.

Although we always want what we want, now, it might be best to either lower your expectations and get a slightly lower performing new card now, or save a bit longer to get something possibly better and certainly with a longer lifespan and a warranty a little bit down the road. You'll be kicking yourself if you spend two hundred bucks on a used card and in six months it dies, when that money could have went towards a much better solution with some years ahead of it.
