Hello, I have an old HP Omnibook 900; 400MHz Pentium II, 160Mb RAM, Windows XP 32-bit (Yeah, it's really old, but it works). The problem is that I have a Belkin Wireless g Notebook Card version 3000 Part # F5D7010, and it's not working. The thing that's funny is that it worked when I had SP1, and then when I upgraded to SP2 it stopped working, I then upgraded to SP3 and it still didn't work.

I can use the network utility just fine, I connect to the network and then enter in the WPA paraphrase like normal, and then it says their's a problem connecting to the network. I tired Repair Network, but then it says The network can not be fixed right now because their was a problem acquiring the IP Address.

I also downloaded the Windows XP drivers from Belkin.com and ran the installation process, reading each and every direction thoroughly, but it still didn't work, I re-tried this process many times, I made sure to uninstall the old drivers, but nothing worked.

I don't know what to do.

Thank You, AtomicGPU.

See if the wireless security settings are causing issues, for a test, turn off WiFi security and see if it will connect.

You have a great torture device there, if someone at work came to me complaining about their Core i5 system being slow, I could give them this Pentium 2 system and say "here, use this for a week and get back to me about that".

I don't have control over the whole network's security settings.

Then you can't do anything much to fix this without testing what works and what does not. Running XP now on the web is not very safe, especially on SP1. You can see if a newer network card works with the router better.

Did you reboot the router? You need to at least try that if you can't get into the settings.
