Recently, I have purchased a computer. Everything was running smoothly until today, where when I booted my computer, my monitor said 'DVI no signal'.

I checked to see whether my graphics card was not working, but the fans were still spinning as normal. I connected my monitor to my motherboard and unplugged my video card to test if it was the monitor's issue. It was not.

I would like guidance towards steps I need to take in order to fix this issue. Thanks in advance!

Monitor: ASUS VE247H
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-E
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon R9 280
OS: Windows 8 64-bit

Here are a couple things you can try if you have not already:

Make sure all connections from the power supply to the graphics card are secure. Do this while the power supply is not plugged in.
If you have a spare power supply try using that one instead, while not likely it is possible that it is faulty.
If you have another graphics card plug it into the same slot as the one in question and see if it works then.
If after everything you try, nothing works I would consider returning the card.
