Hyper 212 EVO - Which thermal paste? CM or Arctic Silver 5?

both will have the same effect of heat in your system, either way the heat staying in the case. Exhaust fans will get heat out of the case if that is your concearn. There isnt much diff between them both, maybe 1 degree C either way. Go with noctua nt-h5 or something similar with zero curing time is better in my experience.

@ delaro: Thanks. I will use the Arctic. I was already spending good deal of money on: mb, 5820k and 212 EVO. I figured, what's another $8.

@ iam2thecrowe: What's funny is that I already online ordered: be quiet! Dark Rock 3 SilentWings and Noctua NH-U14S CPU coolers. I'll be assembling three machines for myself, my mom and my friend. I was planning on using the be quiet or Noctua in my 5820K system, but they didn't arrive yet. So while I was in micro center today, I opted for the hyper 212 EVO, because I was too impatient to wait.

The EVO does quite nice for the money so unless your pushing really high overclocks you wont really wont need to spend the $60+ on a better cooler. I myself prefer Liquid over these expensive Air Coolers it just makes things look better when you don't see a huge Brick covering half the motherboard up.

LOL. I agree that they do look hideous, compared to water cooling. After some YouTube/message board research, it seems like air cooling is indeed quieter than water. Since you bring it up, please name a few of your favorite water cooler models. I may certain upgrade in the near future to water cooling. Corsair makes quite a few models, but no one seems to agree on which model to get. I wish someone could just point a finger and state the latest & greatest models.
