Does my motherboard support this cpu?

Yet another question! Im upgrading my cpu to an i5 2500 or an i7 2600. i checked my motherboard and it doesnt say it supports the k version, just the normal and s versions.

Can i use the k versions or is this chart correct?

i wouldnt get the k version. its essentially the same as the non k version. the k versions are meant for overclocking. this board does not have the power design or cooling for overclocking. thats most likely why it is not on the list as supported.

depends on how much you are finding these for. im not seeing a lot of places that sell these older processors for a reasonable price. theres no way a i7-2600 is worth 375 (amazon's price).
