so I was wondering instead of messing around and trying to fix it becasue I think its just not compatible. Can I just purchase a compatible wifi usb adapter and bypass my computer wireless nic? I found the perfect card that has good reviews working with Kali so I ordered it. If not does anyone know a fix for wifi nic in the Lenovo Yoga 2 11 and kali?

In that case Kali is totally inappropriate. As Skittle says, use Ubuntu or another user-friendly distribution.

Of course, you will take no heed of us. But you should note what the Kali developers say:
Is Kali Linux Right For You?

As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux

And at least from running lspci -nn -d 14e4
My nic doesn't even show which I take it that means it isn't compatible. So I'm going to wait for this Linux company to send me my adapter.

Thanks man that's all I wanted to know. I read somewhere that some guy had a zip called WiFiFix, and it was a zip not a tar but the file inside it was Linux compatible, but his instructions aren't so clear . I run and run the commands he says but keeps erroring. So guess I will try that when I get home
