Setup: msi p67gd65b3, Intel 2500k, crucial 120gb ssd, 1tb caviar black hd, 16gb gskill 1.5v c9 4x4gb, sparkle 850watt gold rated, geforce gtx480, win7 ultimate 64bit

My problem has got me pretty stumped at the moment. It all started with my computer being stuck in a prepost loop. To make a long story short I tested each dimm in each slot.

Dim 1 & 2 - worked in all slots 1 through 4
Dim 3 - worked in slot 4 only
Dim 4 - worked in slot 3 only

So this is what I got from my test but afterwards I decided for shits and giggles to try Dim 3 in slot 3 one more time and it worked. So after playing around some more it looks like a single dimm could work in any slot randomly. Every time I tried more than one I was back to looping. So lucky for me I realized I built another computer with the exact ram so I did a swap......well the looping computer boot up with all 4 sticks the first try and the computer I took the ram from booted up as well. So now I'm completely stumped.....bios is up to date, timing and voltage were on auto but tested manually set as well...so what can it be? Failing dimm slots/mobo? Failing capacitor on psu? Graphic card failing?

What do you guys think? Anyone encounter something similar?

I know I can try the gpu and psu in the other computer but I didn't have the time today.
BTW I did test the psu with a psu tester and it passed. Any help would be much appreciated!

After multiple years my ram just developed compatability issues with my mobo? Doesn't seem right to me. What's more puzzling is the fact that it works with a identical kit from another computer and vice versa.
