Windows 7 or 8 For gaming?

Hello.

I'm going to build a computer and i would like to know which Windows , 7 or 8 would be the best for gaming, any opinions are welcome.
Future pc specs :
GTX980 4GB
8GB RAM
INTEL i5 4690 3.5ghz
KINGSTON HYPER X SSD

Well there you go OP- Get yourself windows 8, use classic shell to look like 7, but have the enhanced performance that 8 gives you, truely the best of both worlds

It depends on the personal preference in some video games Windows 7 gives more fps but I like Windows 8.1 as it boots faster , shuts down faster , transfer rate is faster & it supports dx11.2 , as far for the start button issue download startisback or classicshell start but Windows 10 is about to come out & it's currently in beta stage & it gave more fps than 8/8.1 & 7 & was much faster than them

Yeah, ClassicShell http://www.classicshell.net/ fixed all that though.
Windows 10 makes classic shell a bit obsolete though.
