Please help
I just purchased a Asus Z97 Pro Gamer mobo, I7 4790k CPU and looking at building a new VR gaming rig. I have no immediate plans to overclock but may in the future when I get a Corsair water cooler for the CPU but I was looking at the memory finder on G.Skills website to match to my mobo for DDR3 2400mhz but I see there is TridentX AND Sniper models.
I can't find non conflicting info as to which may be the most suitable

Thanks in advance
Darron

Sniper series have been around for a while and used for Ivy Bridge Z77. Tridents are newer and made for Haswell Z87 and Z97. The Tridents also have removable heatsink fins in case they interfere with cooling towers. Tridents overclock and downclock well, and their voltage is safe with Haswell.
