I got my new PC today and it said that the primary GPU is Intel HD Graphics 4600 and it should be the GTX 970. I installed the drivers for the GTX 970 from NVIDIA's official website but it still said that the Intel HD Graphics is the primary GPU. I then went to device manager and disabled the Intel driver and then it had a black screen. I turned my PC off and when I turn it on it still gives me black screen. I tried spamming F7 and I tried spamming shift+F8 but it didn't do anything.

EDIT: I plugged my second monitor to my GPU with a DVI cable and I can see the desktop from my second monitor. The problem is that my GPU doesn't have a VGA cable plug so I have to plug my main screen to the mobo with a VGA cable. But when I am on my main monitor the primary GPU is the Intel HD Graphics one.

Plugging main screen to mobo vga plug means plugging it to ur intergrated graphics..
Get a DVI to VGA adaptor/Connector for ur new GPU and connect ur Main screen to ur new GPU not ur MOBO, then install drivers and it should work..
Or u can just use ur new gpu on ur other screen..

Google ur motherboard page and download-install the latest audio drivers
or search windows update for a driver.. simple [through troubleshoot]
or i guess nvidia drivers come with inbuilt sound drivers? well amd does...

When I plugged my main monitor to the motherboard the audio was working.

Its a driver issue....as i said just try reinstalling audio drivers for ur mobo should work..
or try this
1. uninstall everything from "sound, video and game controllers" in device manager
2. uninstall display driver
3. Go to control panel, add or remove programs and remove nvidia related stuff and maybe realtek related stuff.
4. restart and install nvidia drivers first..reboot and see if it works
5. if not then uninstall everything in sound video and game controllers and download latest audio drivers for ur MOBO from official page
