Hi everyone im kinda new to this but anyways I have just purchased a BFG GTX 260 and im pretty sure my old 225watt psu wont power it at all. I am british and im looking for a good reliable psu for £20 or less. My pc doesnt require alot of power its just the new graphics card and it also requires 2x 6pin pci-e connectors.

My pc specs: Dell Optiplex 360
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.8ghz
2gb ram
80gb hard drive
everything else is just stock dell optiplex 360

Also, would a Corsair VS350 350W psu do it ( it has 1 pci-e connector but i can get a adapter )

I know its a dated graphics card but any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Sorry, but £20 and "reliable PSU" don't go together, although there is an alright EVGA 500w PSU for £36 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

There's another PSU from EVGA...

There's another PSU from EVGA for £32, it's essentially the same as the previous but with a lower efficiency (not even Bronze certified)

500w should be enough for your GPU.

Here's an option from Corsair: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx500
500w should be enough for your GPU.

Hold on.

You said you have 225 watt PSU, according to Dell manual there are 2 form factors, Mini Tower comes with 255 watt PSU and Desktop comes with 235 watt PSU http://www.dell.com/downloads/emea/products/optix/optiplex_brochure_360_en_new.pdf

Mini Tower

Which one you have?

If it is Mini Tower, than proceed as stated above, if it is Desktop - you can not even instal your card there, not even considering power supply upgrades, so which one is yours?

What Kisianik said is right, if you're PC is the desktop version, it cannot support a GTX 260.
