Hi,
I was about to buy the corsair K70 rgb from ncix today, but I found out that it has only 512 colors (or 16.8 million with bad flickering problem). When spending $200+ on a keyboard this is unacceptable. I really liked the level of customization on the K70 and thought for sure it was the best keyboard, but now I need recommendations for a new mechanical gaming keyboard.

Needs:
-Genuine cherry mx switches (no razer)
-Full 16.8 million rgb with smooth transitions
-Huge amount of customization: per key lighting, animations, etc. on par with corsair

Want but not dealbreaker:
-Usb passthrough
-Standard size bottom row
-Wrist rest

Let me know which keyboard is the best!

Same almost got a many color keyboard, but I realized I would be running many of the same colors all the time. GO GREEN OR GO HOME!

I own a K70 RGB in MX Brown currently. I am very happy with it overall, even with only 512 colors it can be made to display some awesome color animations. I faced the same issue choosing the K70 or the Razer Chroma. I went with the K70 because the software offers many more options for customization and they used real Cherry MX switches. I would have likely bought the Razer if they too used Cherry MX, but they use Chinese knockoffs. For a keyboard that expensive, I'd rather have the real deal. The fact that it's made of aluminum is also a nice plus. IMO it's a better option than the Razer. The software isn't nearly as hard to use as people make it out to be. It took me about 30 minutes of tinkering to make my first custom light show. There is also the Logitech G910 Orion Spark, but again this does not have Cherry switches. It seems it's either you get the K70 RGB with the Cherry switches, or you get the full color spectrum but with Chinese mechanical switches.

I had to RMA my first board through Corsair due to key chatter issues, but they paid for the shipping both ways with no money out of my pocket and it only took about 2 weeks from the date I sent the board to them to me getting the new one back. I commend Corsair for their customer service on that one and would definitely buy this board again over the Chroma.
