Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 using 1600mhz could this cause problems?

hello everyone

I have built a pc and when I try loading windows 7 onto it, it starts then BSOD's or restarts. I have read this motherboard can only run 1066mhz I think with O/C ability's of 1333mhz could my system be BSODing because I am using 1600mhz ram.

any help would great I have been struggling with this problem for 3 weeks now

Go into BIOS and manually set the memory to 1066.
If that dont work list all the parts to the PC for more help.

thank you ill try that when I get home from work. I have heard it should auto change it to that?. how much of an impact will that cause to performance ?.

PC specs
CPU: AMD fx8320 black edition
MOBO: Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
GPU: Radeon r9 270
RAM: 8gb 1600mhz (not sure on brand)
PSU: 750watts (not sure on brand will check when home)
HDD: Seagate 1tb (formatted already)

It has nothing to do with performance, it throttles down the processor when it's running to hot to prevent damage.
With adiquate cooling it should be a non factor.
