So I've never built a computer before and it's a whole new world to me. I've always been interested and now i finally have the extra money for it. I would like to be able to play pretty much any game I wanted at decent settings while also being able to basic computer things since I'll also be using it for school work. I'm starting from pretty much ground zero here since I don't have anything like a monitor already. So any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just have no idea what all is supposed to go together as far as cards, cases, and cooling systems. Like stated above my budget is 1000-1200 but there could be a little wiggle room if it was really worth it. I prefer the white cases to the black ones and lighting and all that isn't really a big deal to me.

Here's a great gaming system that'll play almost everything at max at 1080p, boot up fast and has excellent storage for games and school work alike.

Here's a guide by Linus Sebastian on how to build your PC. He's an excellent and well received PC expert that explains every step in good detail.
