CPU usage is exteremly high when watching youtube videos

Title, nothing much to explain, other than that I think that this is a new problem the pc is new, I got it in the 9th of July.

EDIT:
it is not only in youtube, firefox, its in Watch Dogs, GTA V, in watch dogs and gta v it is between 90-100 percents since this problem occoured.

What is the core clock? Can you post the rest of your specs like mobo and CPU?

The clock speed is the speed of the processor in GHZ. Download this and see what the clock speed reads: http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

The intended clock is suppose to be 3.5 but it might not be getting that high. Also with the hardware monitor you can see the voltages. A screenshot of that would be helpful.

65% CPU usage during video playback? That's too high. You should be getting around 10% usage on your CPU (I get around 5% usage on an i7). Check if there's other background processes, such as anti-virus, which are hiking up your CPU usage.

It is most likely the hardware acceleration on the browser. This increases cpu usage by quite a bit. Turn it off and it should reduce.

So are you saying that the cpu usage is 50% while playing gta? If that is the case, I am not that surprised as the game can put a lot of load on the cpu.

Then I would suggest using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox if you're that much concerned about CPU usage while watching youtube videos. I know you probably don't like IE 11 like many other people, but it's actually pretty light on CPU and memory resources. I use it as my sole browser.

Then the only thing I can think of is the background process or startup programs. It could be windows services as well like windows search.

What extensions and plugins do you have in your Firefox? Maybe some got installed without your consent (happens when you go to unfamiliar questionable sites).

High usage in Chrome while watching video is normal (especially in HTML5), it's a faster browser but at the cost of higher resource usage. But Firefox should sit around 3-10%.

I only have Norton Secuirty Toolbar, btu as I said, teknobug, it is not only in youtube, firefox, its in Watch Dogs, GTA V, in watch dogs and gta v it is between 90-100 percents since this problem occoured.
And no velo, there arent any background process THAT USE CPU.

It could be possible that the CPU is throttling due to high temps. Use HWMonitor to check temps.

Temps look fine. Check the task manager for background processes. Not sure why your CPU usage is so high.

Its your anti virus software. Norton is very cpu heavy and will hog the resources. Try using anti malwarebytes instead and uninstall norton and see if that makes a difference.

That is not possible Velo, I have been using Norton almost a year and I have never had resources problems with it.
I guess I will just take it to the store so they can check the problem.

Then I am not sure what is causing it. Some program is using the cpu a lot when playing games but I don't know what that program is. This assumes you have no viruses on your machine and have all the win and driver updates.
