Heating Issues with Graphics Card for a while

So I have been having a heating issue with my Graphics Card for a while now and its starting to get a bit irritating. I have a Zotac Gforce Gtx 760 graphics card and its fairly new, only been a year since I got it. So let me go over my cooling temperatures.

When I am idol on the computer, lets say on the internet my graphics card is usually around 40-50 degrees. Thats not normal to me. Before this it was usually around 30-40 degrees while idling. And while gaming, it skyrockets to a mixed amount during certain games. Borderlands 2 : 80-90 dagrees, CS:GO: 70 - 80 degrees or higher, I could make the list longer but you get the point.

So my first solution was to get a new case since my stock case was very bad at keeping it cool ( Yes I started with a stock computer but I have customized it a little). So I got the new case got it installed, and it didn't help at all. Now I wont go as to say getting a new case was a complete loss. Now its easier to customize in the future, much more space inside of it for more things, and I was able to remove all the dust inside.

It also doesn't help that my motherboard only holds up to two fans so that might be one of the major issues. One of the solutions could be to get a new motherboard that can hold more fans, and improve airflow. But im not sure what the main issue is at the moment so I dont know where to start to resolve the matter of my graphics card.

So now here I am. Still struggling to keep my graphics card cool after fiddling around with MSI afterburner, changing the settings on games to make them less demanding, and seeing no results. Its honestly so aggravating.

So Id really appreciate some help. Should I get a new motherboard for more fans? Or just replace the whole graphics card?(Which I am more than willing to do at this point.) Because its really hard to enjoy playing some games with my friends, when there is this constant anxiety of worrying im going to damage my computer.I would really appreciate it!

Oh and PS , if you would like my other computer specs , feel free to ask me later because Id like to find my list I made.

Well I didnt mean it like that I just meant that there are newer nvidia cards under the 900 series. The gtx 970 is only $298 on newegg right now with the promo code and will play any game you throw at it on high settings http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125706&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

What do you mean by a motherboard with more fans? Like more sys_fan headers so you can plug more fans in? If thats your problem, you can get a PWM fan splitter so that you can connect 2+ fans through only one header. Also with msi afterburner, does cranking up the fan speeds reduce temperature at all? If it isnt we can rule out that its a graphics card problem.

Yes. More sys_fan headers on a motherboard. I didnt know that there was such a thing is A PWM fan splitter. No MSI afterburner even when the fans are on 100% it still seems to get hotter and hotter.

Ah, I see. I will look into getting a new graphics card on top of the fan splitters due to the fact I only have 2 fans. More is better. For my budget on my new card , if anything , I look for the same one I have just different company, since people say the Zotac graphics cards have a hard time staying cool. So around 250- 300 dollars I would say. This graphics card is fine for what I play , there's no need for an upgrade, just a replacement.

Yeah sure whatever you want but for your rig 2 fans would keep your system cool if all of your components were working as intended. Plus the 760 is a bit outdated if you wanted I could recommend a newer card about the same price that would outperform it by quite a bit

Sure. Recommendations are great. I didn't know thee 760 is already outdated. I only got it like 2 years ago. So any ideas?

Alright. Thanks for the help! Really appreciate it. I will take this graphics card into consideration.
