PNY Quadro 600 with Sony Vegas 13 Pro, how to get render times down?

I was wondering how I could make Sony Vegas use my Quadro 600 to help rendering time. I've looked at a lot of different things, tried them all, but am getting around 3 minutes for a 2:30 1080p clip, surely the Quadro is more powerful than that right?

So you're saying a workstation card that was made in 2012 (that's what mine says on the box at least) isn't very good for rendering? As money isn't something I plan on spending on a new workstation card, I'll likely just stick with this one. I picked it up for $30.00 so I shouldn't be complaining. I have a GTX 650 as well and thought the 600 would make a nice addition to my build. Anyways, thanks for the quick response and the honest help!! :)

The Fermi card is old...

Actually, if you can find a GTX 650 Ti Boost, then you may be able to mod the card into a Quadro K4000, which is a decent card. There's also GT 640 to a Quadro K600. Or you can get a GTX 670, 680 and do a Quadro K5000... PM me for some (more or less) illicit soldering details... Well, the article about that mod was published here on this website anyway.

But will the Quadro be helpful for anything? I plan to use it at least a little. Thinking about it, I may have just blown $30.00 haha, I'm looking to upgrade to a 970 soon so whoops

Quadro or gtx makes no difference in render time and most any feature you need is available for either. The quadro will allow 10 bit color but that's not even useful unless you have a 10 bit monitor. It's more about performance, not the other differences quadro offers in this situation.
