Hi, I recently built a new computer and now when i look at my cpu temp I see that it's very high. On idle its about 40-50 c and when play games like GTA V it goes up to 90c. I am planning to buy a new cpu cooler and wonder is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo good enough to cool my cpu?

My Specs:
MSI GTX 970 4G
Intel core i7 4790k (Not overclocked)
Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3
EVGA Nex750

Up to a 1.3V on the core voltage the temperatures will most likely be safe & anything under 1.28V core voltage should get you solid temps.

My Haswell runs 1.31V with a Hyper 212X Turbo Dual Fan and get solid temps.

i overclocked my 4790k to 4.7GHZ running 1.29 Vcore using evo 212 with silver artic 5
idling 37C loading temp 70C-80C basically below 86C you are just fine (offical Intel statement)
now that you arent even overclock, and achieved 90C you are in danger!!
