Games crashing even though GPU passes stress test

So here are some of my specs

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850

CPU: MSI 970A-G43

Power Supply: XFX Pro 750W

Cooling is two NXST fans

So here's my problem. I ran a furmark test on my GPU for 15 minutes and the temperature went to 68 degrees C and held there while stable. There were no signs of crashing or screen tearing or anything. My GPU sits at a stable 31 degrees Celsius and is clocked at 860/1200 MHz. The voltage rests at .9000 V but goes up to 1.175 V under heavy load. Now all this seems really great to me when comparing the results to others online, the problem is I'm still having problems. On a lot of games I have crash to desktop, artifacts appearing, a crash involving vertical green lines that sometimes loops the sound and requires a hard reset, and a good amount of screen tearing. These problems happen within 10-15 minutes of starting games and usually happen in games that are not even that graphic intensive. I also have screen tearing occasionally while watching Netflix or Youtube. Can someone confirm if this is a hardware issue or software issue and give me advice on how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

The stock speeds are 860/1200 MHz which is what I play on most of the time. I just tested this out today at these speeds and the game still crashes and has artifacts, etc.

Yeah I've done a full driver reinstall before but I have no clue what DDU is. Can you expand on that?

It's a tool which removes display drivers much more effectively than the normal way through Device Manager. You see, Windows often keeps certain driver files that allow it to rebuild its driver system in case of a breakdown - but with the awesomeness of Windows 7 and up, this has become obsolete. DDU (or Display Driver Uninstaller) removes these pointless files, which can often hold corrupted files.

You'll be prompted to reboot into safe mode when launching it. Do that, relaunch the program and let it do its thing.
