Hey guys i am going to insomnia at the end of august and doing the BYOC i have a fairly decent computer.

Specs:
CPU: intel i7 4770k
GPU: GTX 780
RAM: 32gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

I would list the others but in terms of performance thats all you need to know. However my GPU is a reference card so it can get fairly hot. 80-90 degrees under load. However even though my system is good i have a crappy generic dell monitor that only runs at a resolution of (1440x900) it has a refresh rate of 75hz.

So i dont want to goto this LAN party with a bad monitor however i would like to get my graphics card temporarily water cooled with one of corsairs GPU brackets then attach there hydro series cooler the h110i until i finally can afford my full custom loop.

So long story short whether i get a new monitor or cooling unit i will be upgrading it in the next year or maybe less. If i got the monitor i would use it in surround so what would you guys recommend a TN with a high refresh rate or an IPS with low refresh rate considering i tend to upgrade to an ROG swift. OR should i go for a water cooled graphics card. My budget is £150(approx $230)

I'd say get an overclockable ips monitor. http://www.blurbusters.com/overclock/120hz-1440p-ips-monitors/ it is detailed there and here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JEZ3MAW/ is one of the monitors listed. its slightly over budget but you can get 2k 120fps out of it. you can also get a couple of high capacity fans to improve airflow and help your card stay cool. If you get some with good static resistance you can use them later for the radiator fans.

That sounds like an awesome idea however sadly i cant seam to find a british retailer such as amazon or newegg who ship any of those monitors to the uk however there was one on ebay but it puts me almost £100 over budget sadly else that would be a great option

That is an old list and is probably missing most of the monitors available today. I'll look for one that is available in the uk

I cannot find any of the Korean monitors, any model and any brand. According to pcpartpicker.com none of them are being stocked (that it knows) exept lg (which is the only Korean brand that does not overclock well) it seems odd, I wonder if there is a legitimate reason for this.

ahh I see it could be a problem with shipping such as dead pixels on arrival or the product being too damaged during shipping i may just go with one of the one firepower suggested for now :)

I would personally just go with a new monitor. If you are worried about your GPU though go ahead and get a new one.
