System no longer recognizing any non-boot HDs

For whatever reason, after adding an additional SSD to my system, it no longer wants to recognize any hard drives that aren't the primary windows drive.

The primary drive is a Crucial M4 128gb, and that is still picked up in BIOS and Windows no problem.

The second drive is a 1TB WD Black drive I use for data and games, and prior to adding the 2nd SSD, it had been working fine since the system was built.

The drive I attempted to add is a Samsung 840 EVO 250gb SSD. I put it into the 2nd SATA6 port on the mobo and connected it to power.

After adding the Samsung SSD, the system no longer picks up the 1TB HD nor the new SSD drive - only the Crucial drive. These drives are not recognized in BIOS, Device Manager, nor Disk Management.

I'm kind of at a loss on what to do. I've tried different drive modes, disabling/enabling the different controllers on the board. No idea what else to do.

System:
i5-2500k @ 4.6
CM 212 EVO
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z
16gb (4x4gb) Gskill Sniper DDR3-1866
EVGA GTX 970 FTW

Hey there, rwalby9.

I'd recommend that you try switching around the drive to other SATA ports and cables, to see if the same thing happens. I'd also suggest that you try resetting or updating your BIOS. It wouldn't hurt if you try the new SSD and HDD with a different computer as well and test them with a diagnostics tool just to make sure that they're OK.

Please let me know how everything goes.

I think the motherboard was honestly just on it's way out. I went out and got an i5-4690k and an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 and all is working well now all other parts staying the same.
