I've been an avid lurker on the forums and after researching and finally putting my first gaming PC build together, which can be seen here
First gaming build
I have encountered my first issue! For some reason after installing my OS (windows 8.1) and my drivers from my motherboard, I connected my wifi adapter the D-Link DWA-125 and although it is picking up signals it cannot find my own home router? Why is that? I know it is working because I just connected my XBOX one to it and a couple of my friends came over and were able to connect to it using their phones. What could be my issue? I have tried downloading the most recent drivers from D-Link and installing them but still I can see other peoples WIfi but not my own.
If it matters the router I am currently using is the router Timewarnercable provided me which is the Technicolor TC8715D. Thank you in advance for anyone who tries to help me!
