I put a graphics card in my PC. But the only problem is that my PC won't detect the card.

I've checked the BIOS and the Device Manager. But all it sees is the on board Graphics. When i plug my display into the graphics card, all i see is a black screen. Please help.

Fans on the card spinning? Have you tried connecting the card to the monitor using a different port like dvi or hdmi

Yes, details please. One obvious thing to check is if your graphics card requires external power via a PCI-E power connector, check to see if you've plugged it / them in.
