I'm new to this Forum. And quite new to assembling a computers myself. I've been Gaming for a big majority of my life. I built a system a little more than a year ago with these specs:
i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz (however upon noticing on CPU-Z it fluctuates to about 3.50-3.60Hz)
8gb RAM (2x4 1330Hz)
GTX 770 DirectCU II OC by ASUS
Gigabyte H87-D3H.
Corsair 700 Watt PSU (can't remember exact naming)
Onto the main query that I have, I want to overclock my machine (or just increase my computer's performance), however the mobo that I currently have installed doesn't support it from what I found from a review I happened to misread.
Is there any precautions I must take in order to install a new motherboard? Is it worth the time and money to replace the motherboard? If not, what can I do to increase performance (particularily in gaming side of things). Or should I just invest into a GTX 980? Increase RAM? Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated!
