Title.

This is what the product specs page says - " It offers premium features such as the support of dual-channel DDR3-1333MHz memory with four slots up to 16GB,"
"16 GB maximum total system memory (with 2 Gb memory technology)"

I've checked a lot of different forum posts but I'm still confused, as none of them had a clear answer. So I just want to know this - will an 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz stick function on my motherboard ( Intel DH55TC ) or do I need to dual channel ? Because 2x4GB RAM is out of the question. Only one of my slots is functional. I cannot upgrade the motherboard just yet either. I really need more RAM, the 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz I currently possess isn't cutting it. :/

Are you 100% certain ? Could you give me some more details, as in technical details ? I need to know why exactly. Because a few of my other 'tech' friends ( they're very young though ) said that they doubt it. They weren't 100% certain whether it'd run or not, so I decided not to pick up an 8 GB stick. Have you tried running an 8 GB stick on a DH55TC ?
