Mouse Macro Question/Help

Hello,

I'm getting a Blackwidow Stealth from my friend in a few weeks time. The keyboard has 5 macros at the left side of it. But as I'm also going to get a gaming mouse too, I'm having some trouble deciding on which one to get.

I should also mention that I'm getting into competitive, if that makes a difference at all.

I'm narrowing my choices to the Deathadder and the Naga.

My question being: Do I need all the mouse macros that the Naga has to offer for TF2, or for any shooter really, or are the two macros on the Deathadder all I should need? Keeping in mind that I still have the 5 keyboard macros.

I'd be using the macros for things like voice chat, calling out for spy/medic, weapon switching, jumping, right clicking.

It's fine if you don't know about TF2 in this sense, but to anyone who plays shooters on PC and/or who are fairly competitive, like CS:GO players, are mouse macros really that important?

Thanks for reading, some advice would be nice.

The Naga is designed more for an MMO style game, and has more buttons than you'd ever need for an FPS. I would go with the Deathadder if you're into shooters; I use one with the Blackwidow as well, and it's a great combo for FPSs.

Thank you for the reply, I'm starting to lean towards the Deathadder now.

Just one question, do you use the side macros when playing an FPS games, and If so, what's the best configuration for them? E.g. Do you use them to weapon switch, zoom in...

I don't really use them in FPS's, leaving the scroll wheel for zooming and weapon switching, but I have tried them for reloading and crouching, and they work well for that, I just never stuck with it long enough to get used to it.
