I recently purchased and installed a Corsair Force LS 240 GB SSD. The first thing I tried to do was install a random game on Steam just to see how it was working. The "writing to disk" phase between downloaded bits took forever. So, I downloaded AS SSD Benchmark utility to try and troubleshoot any issues. The application reports a smooth 470 MB/s read speed, but an extremely slow 8-10 MB/s write speed. This is obviously unacceptably slow. I'm not the most well-versed with these types of things, but I've tried plugging the drive into a different SATA3 port on my motherboard, to no avail. It's completely empty, so the speed isn't being compromised by being full (nothing I've read indicates it should lose *this* much speed from being full anyway). I'm not sure what else to try. Could it be a faulty cable (also brand new, purchased with the drive, but who knows)? None of my other drives (1 SSD, 2 HDD) have any problems. Perhaps I should try plugging this Corsair SSD into the same port as the Samsung SSD that's working fine - I'm just spit-balling here. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Not sure what else is relevant. Thanks in advance!
