Adding Another HDD with an OS on it

If i plug in my old HDD with windows XP into my current PC with another hard drive that has windows 7, will I have any problems? I want to format it so I can have extra storage.

No there shouldnt be any problems, just, the first time you attach it and start the PC press f12(may be a diff key for your mobo) and select the windows 7 HDD from the boot device menu.
That way you will boot into windows 7 and can easily format XP drive
