Hello toms hardware, i bought a new computer about 5-6 months ago, today while i was playing a nice game of cs:go i heard some strange noise from my case.I shut down immidiatly my pc and open the case. The gpu fan fell off,i took it and seated it again in the card, i heard a "clack" and the fan went in without any problems. i have it on for half an hour without any problems with 40 C at idle, in a hot day. Should i be concerned or it is going to be ok? I am afraid because i leave my pc on almost all day and i dont want the fan to fell off when i am not there and damage my system.
I hope you can help me and thanks for your time.

EDIT : i hear in short times some sounds from the fan but they stop fast.

Solution

Sounds like its fine, it must have not been correctly attached before and worked loose.

i actually have 2 years warranty from the shop i build the pc will it be covered? I live in greece so its kinda hard to communicate with xfx. Is there any possible solutions to solve the problem? I am right now testing the card by playing a game so see how it goes

If it's under warranty, I'd get a hold of XFX. GPU fans are not supposed to do that at all and I'm sure it will probably happen again.

Just saw you posted that you have a 2 year warranty from the computer shop. I'd go that route for sure first. But yeah, I'd get the problem fixed as soon as possible.
