old online board-game with spells and runes (not runescape or anything popular like that)

I used to play a game in the early 2000's. This is the best way i could describe it. There was a board (about 10x10), and your little character was a wizard or something like that. Every time you move, the enemies on the board move. You can also cast spells, such as fireballs, lightning, etc, or lay traps that all work to kill the creatures on the board. The monsters range from Ooze to bigger, more powerful creatures. The way you create spells is by collecting runes throughout the levels. Different combinations of runes will create different spells and more powerful spells later on. It's killing me that I can't remember the name of it, any help would be amazing. Thanks

Uhh well, it sounds like Chaos: Battle of the Wizards, a game from 1985. It also sounds like the remake Chaos Reborn, made by X-COM creator Julian Gollop.
