I have
I7
Gigabyte x79-ud4
16gb ram
1000w superflower PSU
Asus gtx670 direct cu ii oc

I just bought a brand new second GPU that is identical to my existing with the aim to sli them. but when I installed them I get the Gigabyte screen (but I cant enter bios) and then I get a black screen and blinking cursor. I then took out my original card and place the new one in the slot where my original was. The same happened. I then took my new card out completely and put my original back in and it runs fine. Is my brand new GPU broken straight out of the box? its my understanding that because its identical to the other one the drivers would be the same and therefore should work if the other card does in that slot.

Hope someone can help
