Hi everyone
i really really could use some help here.
i've tried to upgrade the bios on my gigabyte z77x ud5h, from F6 to F 14 and because i failed at using the qflash i opted for using @bios, the utility i found on the gigabyte website. i Probably got the wrong rev. but i can't confirm it at the moment. after the upgrade my PC doesn't boot up anymore, instead a black screen with a cryptic line saying:
error loading operating system
i've tried to rest the cmos by pressing the cmos_sw button on the motherboard. now a screen with 3 choices appears
load optimized defaults then boot
load optimized defaults then reboot
enter bios
the first two option make the pc come back to the black screen.
but i can enter the bios now. the version is f14, so no reset. from here i can see my hd and dvd
but i can't start windows .
the only thing i can do is put the windows 7 installation disk, override the start up and go through the setup process, but i don't know if that's gonna help.
Can you guys please help me out here? i really don't know what to do...except for going to a repair shop....
thanks a lot in advance

I have a similar experience. Found no valid solution and decided to RMA with Gigabyte. The whole ordeal was a total nightmare.

I'd avoid Gigabyte Gigabyte products AT ALL COSTS! If it breaks after 30 days, you'll still need to pay to get it fixed/replaced. Doesn't matter how long the warranty period is. I had a motherboard that failed on me. After a few emails and an hour-long call to their customer center with their operations manager, Gary Tam, warranty manager, Maggie Lin, and service manager, Chuck Liu, they basically told me that they're not responsible for the defective product. If I don't want to pay the extra fee, they're not going to fix it. They also said that since they're a manufacturer, not a retailer, and it doesn't...
