The tray of my Pioneer Blu-ray burner gets stuck when I press the eject button and I always have to open it with the emergency procedure. How can I fix it please? This is getting annoying! It also sometimes don't recognize the media I put on it.
Disassemble drive, attempt to eyeball what's causing the friction, may have to re-grease the gears, clean laser diodes with q-tip then compressed air.
I hope you are not expecting some magic software fix.
No sir, no magic software fix. Actually I Google the problem and found some easy rubber drive belt replacement videos and is likely that my drive has the same problem. I just asked here because this forum has some really smart members and I was hoping to find a really accurate solution to the problem. Thanks for your answer, I'll try it soon!
Am actually surprised anybody make belt-drives anymore. I recall once I tried to refurb a turntable and finding that belt wasn't easy at all, and it has to be fairly precise, the same physical size may not be enough, if the material make up doesn't provide the correct tension, but good luck!
If the opening mechanism is using a belt drive, you can try a rubber band in the assembly. The challenge is to find one the correct length and thickness.
