Hi

I wanna install an m.2 ssd on a windows 8.1 oem cd like a clean installation not an upgrade or anything and I don't know how to do it and asked ASUS DIY

and they replied by this:
"Just install the drive and set the UEFI to M.2 operation. Once you have done that you just need to select UEFI boot for your windows installation source which if a disc will be the name of your optical drive but with the words UEFI in front of it."

What do they mean I don't understand this please explain all : o
By installing the drive do they mean physically the m.2 ssd to my motherboard cause that is done or by drive do they mean a software or something that I need to install?

How do I set the UEFI to M.2 operation?

And how do I select UEFI boot for my windows installation source which is indeed a disc? : o

The person who can explain this I will give 5 stars of creationality!
: D
(Sorry I made a space in the smileys but I like these better than Tom's) :D

Solution
Put your Windows 8.1 DVD in the drive and when you power on the PC start tapping F8 (pretty sure it should still be F8). You should get a boot selection menu and you should see one that is labeled "UEFI CD?DVD Model: Windows 8.1 English...." highlight it and press "Enter". This should start the UEFI install process.
Physically install the SSD to your PC.
UEFI = BIOS, from now on i will call it BIOS.
Access your BIOS, usually F2 or Del.
Set boot priority to your CD drive.

After windows is installed go back and set your SSD as boot priority.

If you are having trouble installing windows; there is a plethora of information regarding this available on the web.

Regarding your hardware; no extra effort or step is required - install hard drive - install windows onto hard drive.
