1) What is OEM? It says it is for system builders and a lot of other things. What is different about OEM than regular?

2) How can I install the OS without an optical drive? I have a windows 8.1 OEM CD.

3) Should I downgrade to Windows 7? This is a gaming pc.

Here is my build btw.

Solution

I've not used that particular one, but it should work.
Or ImgBurn, or CDBurnerXP (my usual favorite)

1) An OEM license is tied to one computer and it is complicated to transfer it to another PC. Once you install it, its on that PC for good.
2) No, you need an optical drive since the license is tied to that disk.
3) Windows 8 is less intensive on system resources, leaving more resources available for gaming and less for the OS, so No.

#2. No, that is false. Once installed, it is tied to that motherboard. The install disk is of no consequence.
