Wouldn't an overclocked G3258 work? Don't mean to sound rude. Also excuse my inexperience.

Personally, I see no reasonable benefit from OC build, since i5 4460/4590/Xeon 1231 more than sufficient for gaming.
g3258 will work till upgrade, though new and upcoming games tend to use more than 2 cores.
