i'm getting a new PC this week and I can't decide what motherboard and processor to get
i'm getting
Graphic Card : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB GDDR5 Windforce 3X
HDD: seagate barracuda 2TB ,
PSU : CORSAIR CX600M 600w 80 PLUS Bronze ,
Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Red LED Mid Tower Gaming Case
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 X 4GB) DDR3 1600 CL9 V1.5 Dual Channel Memory Kit

and now the problem I can't choose what to get either I get intel i5-4690k + Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 or I get intel i7-4790 + Gigabyte GA-P81-D3

the reason i'm hesitated that some of my friends told me that the gigabyte gaming 3 isn't that good compared to other z97 motherboards so I thought if it isn't good so I just invest on the processor and get any motherboard as I'm already over budget and can't get better one but I wanted to ask you to confirm what they say and if you have other suggestion for another parts in the same budget.
thanks in advance

Solution
it isn't a bad motherboard but it isn't the best for overclocking as it has a 4 phase power delivery. And it has crap reviews on newegg which says something about it. There are better motherboards like the extreme4 for about the same price, or the gaming 5.

Dont get the corsair cx series PSU, they have a pretty bad reputation. Get something that is tier 1 or 2 on this list

as for the motherboard and CPU you should go with an i5 4460 if you dont render, and get an asrock h97 aneversary for the motherboard.

As far as a better z97 motherboard the asrock extreme4 is a good option or the ASRock Z97M OC Formula for a bit cheaper motherboard.

If you really want to spend a lot on a CPU get the xeon e3 1231 v3, it has hyperthreading and stronger stock performance than an i5 4690k
