Both audio panel(Rear and front) of my computer(desktop) stopped working

Both audio panel(Rear and front) of my computer(desktop) stopped working suddenly. I have installed double booting system on my computer(Windows7 and Kali Linux). I am facing the same problem in both os. They both failed to detect speakers and headphones. Troubleshooting in Windown7 says Speakers are not plugged in while they are plugged in correctly. I need help. Is this a hardware problem?

  1. In windows go to device manager.
Find the sound card drivers .
    Right click and uninstall.
    Then reboot.

If that doesn't work the problem is that you have no power plugged into the speakers

No, not necessarily... I'm having the same problem and did what you said and tried pretty much everything else and am still not getting either my speakers or headphones to detect, and they both work.
