I'm not sure whether this is the right section but I am in need of assistance.
On the holidays I built my first ever PC which was primarily for gaming. For the first week I was playing CSGO on max settings and getting a mostly stable 300 FPS. Yesterday I logged on and I was getting around 20-60 fps with insane drops. I can not think of much that I changed besides leaving my computer on for 24hours downloading games.
Specs:
MOBO: ASRock H9Z PRO4
GPU: EVGA Geoforce GTX 970 SC ACX
CPU: Intel i5 4460 3.20GHz
PSU: Seasonic 80+ Gold 550w
SSD: 256 GB something
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
RAM: G.Skill X-Series 8GB (4x2)
NOTES:
. I viewed my CPU usage whilst playing BL TPS and it was hitting near 100 and the FPS was around 30-50 on max settings.
. CSGO on low settings give me almost the exact same FPS which led me to believe that the issue is not associated with my GPU.
. L4D2 played at a semi stable 60 fps on high settings
I have tried:
- Resetting my GPU to stock settings
- Turning NVIDIA 3D settings to performance
- Checking the PCI Slot is to the GPU not the MOBO
- Restarting
I am a huge newbie to PC Building and software so anything in BIOS I have very limited knowledge on.
Also an idea about what are some standard numbers when it comes to CPU usage, GPU usage, FPS and anything else is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The CSGO SS are showing how the high and low settings barely effect my FPS and how low the FPS is in general.
The computer monitor SS are taken just after I closed BL TPS.
